The Story Behind Steady Household

I founded Steady Household because I’ve lived the struggle of managing aging parents from a distance, and I’m dedicated to closing the gap in senior care by handling the household logistics that clinical services leave behind.

I spent 25+ years as a project manager before realizing the skills I used to run complex projects were exactly what families need when managing aging parents’ households.

I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve managed a parent’s household from across the country for over a decade. I’ve coordinated contractors I’ve never met, fixed technology over the phone, tracked down documents that may or may not exist, and navigated emergency rooms in cities I don't live in. I’ve supported family members through years of progressive illness and watched the toll it takes on everyone involved.

I know the weight of trying to manage a parent’s entire household on top of your own life. I understand what it's like to support someone who doesn’t want to need help but sometimes does; that's the hardest kind of caregiving. You’re managing someone else’s independence while trying to preserve your own.

I started Steady Household because I needed this service to exist, and I realized I had the exact skill set to build it.

Why This Work

I am not an eldercare expert by training. I am a professional operations manager who has spent a career solving complex, moving-target problems across industries, and who has spent the last decade navigating real family eldercare situations at the same time. I built the service my family and I desperately needed and couldn’t find.

The skills that made me successful at coordinating office relocations, managing vendor relationships, and handling crisis logistics are exactly the skills families need when managing an aging parent’s household.

I’m not a care manager, not a social worker, not a medical professional. I am a professional operations manager who specializes in the non-clinical household logistics that keep life running smoothly.
